Restrict choices from dropdown menu

Hi,

I would like to restrict the choices from a drop down menu to 1 choice.

Currently I have 6 choices:

  1. Rejected
  2. In Progress
  3. Business Approved
  4. QA Approved
  5. Ready for Release
  6. Released

For someone that is creating a new item I want them to only have the possibility to choose "In Progress".

Does anyone know how to do this?

I have tried: Filter(Choices(MyDataSource.Status, StartsWith("In Progress"))) but this doesnt work.

Thanks

Trond

Hi @TroGun18 ,

Please try this, put the following formula to Items property of drop down.

Filter(Choices(MyDataSource.Status),Value="In Progress")

Re: Restrict choices from dropdown menu

Try this out:

If('creating_new_Item',Filter(MyDataSource; Status= "In Progress").Status)

Hi @v-siky-msft ,

I used Filter(Choices('WBS Masterdata'.Status), Value='Status (WBS Masterdata)'.'In Progress') But no luck

I get 3 errors:

Re: Restrict choices from dropdown menu

Hi @TroGun18 ,

Which kind of data source is 'WBS Masterdata'?

What is the type of Status column? Option set?

Can you show more details about the error infomation?

Best regards,

Sik

Re: Restrict choices from dropdown menu

Hi @v-siky-msft

The source is Sharepoint and the status columns is an option (choices).

Error 1: Name isn't valid. This identifier isn't recognized. Location: DatacardValue241.Items

Error 2: Invalid use of '.' Location: DatacardValue241.Items

Error 3: Invalid Argument Type. Location: DatacardValue241.Items
