Save text from "Input text" into item field every time when a button is pressed

Hello everyone,

I need help with the folowing problem.

In a form I need that the Input text to be registered into a item column every time a botton is pressed. The text should remain in the column and when the button is pressed again the new text will be registred under the old text.

Even better sould be, if the datat card replicate/duplicate with the new text in the form .

(Please see the attachement)

It is possible in powerapps ?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello,

There is no one who knows how to I achieve that ?
Input text  - > to column.
I really appreciate for an answer.

Re: Save text from "Input text" into item field every time when a button is pressed

@mihaipal

So, there could be a variety of ways to solve that.  I will propose one...

You could have, on your Button Control, an OnSelect action as follows:

   UpdateContext({addedText:yourAddedTextBoxControl.Text})

On your Response Level 1 Textbox, you can have the formula on the Text property (or Default depending on how you want it to default) as follows:

   yourDataColumn & Char(13) & addedText

The only thing you will want to do then is, when you "Send" or "Cancel" or leave the screen is to clear the addedText variable:

   UpdateContext({addedText:""})

Hope this helps get you to the next step.

Re: Save text from "Input text" into item field every time when a button is pressed

@mihaipal

When you say "registered under the old", are you saying you want the text in the input box to be appended to the existing text in the column value?

Ex.

  Column value is "ABC123"

  User types "DEF456" in the input box and then presses the button

  Column should now read

      "ABC123

       DEF456"

Is that what you are looking for, or am I off on the understanding?

Re: Save text from "Input text" into item field every time when a button is pressed

Hello,

Thank you very much for your response.

Yes, that's what I want.
Every time   when users open this form, they can write in the text box and register in the column.

column value : "    " -> user type : 1234 = column value : "  1234  " (saved in column)

column value : " 1234 " -> user type : 5678 = column value : "  1234

                                                                                                      5678  " (saved in column)

.......and so on

Best regards,

Mihai

Very good...so, what type of column is "Response Level 1" in your SharePoint?
