Send Chart in Email

I have a chart in my app and I'm using the Office365.SendEmail function to send an email with some text. Is there anyway I can include my chart in the email?

Re: Send Chart in Email

Hi @snickell ,

The solution I provided above could not change the image dynamically based on the Chart you displayed within your app.

Currently, there is no way to send an email along with a Chart displayed using Chart control within your app. As an alternative solution, you need to save the Chart as a Image file into your local device manually, then send an email along with the saved Chart image (as I mentioned above).

Note: For saving Chart into your local device, you could use a Screenshot tool to capture your Chart, and save it as a Image file into your local device.

I think the solution I provided above could achieve your needs as a alternative solution. Please consider take a try with it.

Re: Send Chart in Email

Hi @snickell ,

Could you please share a bit more about the Chart within your app?

Do you mean that the Chart (you mentioned) displayed using Column chart control, Line chart control or Pie chart control within your app?

If you want to send an email along with the Chart displayed via Column chart control, Line chart control or Pie chart control within your app, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

As an alternative solution, you could consider take a try to save the Chart as a Image file in your local device, then add a "Add Picture" control within your app to capture/pick up the saved Chart image file from your local device. After that, include the Chart image from the "Add Picture" control as an attachment of an email.

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following alternative workaround:11.JPG

12.JPG

Set the OnSelect property of the "Send Email" button to following:

Office365.SendEmail(
"Test1@XXXXXX.onmicrosoft.com",
"Subject Content",
"Body Content",
{
Attachments: Table({Name: "Chart.jpg", ContentBytes: AddMediaButton1.Media, '@odata.type':""})
}
)

More details about sending an email along with an attachment, please check the following article:

Re: Send Chart in Email

Does this workaround dynamically change the image based on the chart? I can't tell if that's what you're doing here. But that's what I need.
