Share an app with a group

Hi I am trying to share an App with AD security group. But when I type the name of the group, I get an error that the group does not exists. My on premises AD is synced with O365.

I am able to add individual users but not the group.

Please let me know if you have an idea why.

Re: Share an app with a group

Sorry for the delay on this, but the fix should now be available at:

https://preview.web.powerapps.com

Can you try sharing your groups there and let me know if that fixes it for you?

Note that this "preview" URL is our preview website. It receives updates a few days before the regular site but is otherwise identical. If you are able to share successfully at the preview site, you should be able to switch back to the normal site afterwards and continue using that with no issue.

Re: Share an app with a group

Hi Daleritf,

AD security groups will become distribution groups after they are synced to Office 365. Is this issue happening to all the previous ad security group? Please try with another on-premise ad group to test. Also try to create a new security group in Office 365 to narrow down the issue.

Mona

Re: Share an app with a group

I tried to create new on premises AD security group which was synchronized to O365 but I am not able to find this group in PowerApss.

I created a security group in O365 and this group did not show up eather in PowerApps.

Looks like none of the groups are showing up in PowerApps Share search.

Please help

Re: Share an app with a group

Hi Daleritf,

I can share my app to some of my Office 365 groups. All of the below group types, only Mail-enabled security group is available in PowerApps share.

Please check if you got the same result as mine.
