Hi @sajarac ,

I picked your post up from your unresponded question.

You can display photos from either attachments or a SharePoint document library on Apple and Android devices easily.

If from a SharePoint Library - in a Gallery  the Image control Image property is

ThisItem.'{Thumbnail}'.Large

For a Standalone picture on the form

GalleryName.Selected.'{Thumbnail}'.Large

(you can also use Small and Medium

For an Attachment in a gallery with Items showing attachments for selected item - Items of Gallery

GalleryName.Selected.Attachments

Image property in gallery

ThisItem.Value

For standalone picture

GalleryName.Selected.Value

To show the first attachment on a form

First(GalleryName.Selected).Value

We do this with thousands of pictures in the field and it works very reliably.

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

I guess the sharepoints pictures does not load in any device due to a limitation with PA and SP.

But, may i ask you, wich method are you trying to use to load the images?

Hello,

I can see the pictures saved in my SP folder via web browser. I am using the PA template "Asset Checkout"

Yeah, you are right.

I opended a ticket for PowerApps team about this and they answered me why the images does not show properly on Devices due to a limitation in PowerApps and Sharepoint, something about permissions in sharepoint I guess..

I made a form wich uploads an attatchment in a sharepoint column list and in web studio the images loads ok, but in devices stay blanks forever.

This is sad and they are working on it, i dont know if this is your case too..

Hi there, yes that is my case too, very frustrating too. But I have a question. If a have my app shared with some guys and my SharePoint list and folder shared with the same guys, and they can see on their devices the text fields why not the pictures? Right access are not the same ? Seems weird to me.

and BTW could you please open another ticket because PA is not working on android devices, when I select any app from the list it says openin...... in an endless loop.

thank you very much for your follow up and prompt reply!!!!

thanks again

The problem is not actually with the permission, but a limitation in PA with SP, thats what the engeneering of powerapps said to me on the ticket...so no one will see the images opening it on devices, even you, the creator and owner of the sharepoint list haha

I recently watched a video from this guy who teaches some ways to do this, take a look

Hi @sajarac,

For your first question, I have made a test and the issue is confirmed on my side.

I have made a test on PowerApps Mobile Device in iOS device and Android Device, the image files saved within my SP folder could not be displayed within the Gallery control, even though, you are the creator or owner of the SP folder.

I have posted this issue to my product team, if the issue is solved, I would reply here.

For you second question, I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please consider take a try to close your app and then re-open it to check if the issue is solved.

In addition, please check if the version of your PowerApps Mobile App on your iOS device is the latest version, if not, please update it to the latest version, then check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,

Kris

Hello,

Just to confirm if you are the owner you can see pictures via web browser but not mobile (IOS and Android), if you have the app shared the rest of the people can not see pictures in both Web and mobile.

Regards,

Yeah, you are right.

The method that worked for me to see the images on devices is to generate an IMG_URL, transfer it to sharepoint and then the image appears on the device using the url, BUT, has some limitations also, some images generates and some images do not, I guess is because the size of the image, already asked Paul in youtube to see this issue...

This method is in the video I shared with you, in the beginning..
