Side Menu bar

Hello!

How can i add a side menu bar in my app. A menu bar that slides in and out on the same screen from the side, not from the top and also it should not cover the the whole screen.

Re: Side Menu bar

Hi Mod_admin,

I am afraid that currently we are not able to use a side menu bar on PowerApps, as we can navigate from screen1 to screen2, but are not able to slide in and out on the same screen from the side without covering the whole screen.

Please consider to create a new request at PowerApps Ideas Forum:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/PowerApps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas

As a temporary workaround, please consider to use Navigate function to see if it will meet your needs. About Navigate function, please see more details at here:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/function-navigate/

Please feel free reply if you need more help.

Best regards,
Mabel Mao

Re: Side Menu bar

Hello,

You can try this:

Insert 2 buttons, 1 timer control and a rectangle.

Button1.OnSelect = UpdateContext({vTimerFilterOptions:false});UpdateContext({vTimerFilterOptions:true})
Button2.OnSelect = Reset(Timer1)
Rectangle1.X = (Rectangle1.Width*Sin(Timer1.Value)-Rectangle1.Width)
Timer1.Duration = 1000*(Pi()/4)+110
Timer1.Start = vTimerFilterOptions

You can play with it, check how it works and I think that you can build what you need.

(Press Button1 and then Button2)

Hope this helps 🙂

*Edit: Press F5 before you try it. You need to be on user mode in order to see it work. If you try it, while on edit mode nothing happens
