Sign up without business or work email

I don't understand the significance why sign-up is not provided for personal email address. I am a freelancer and I need to try this Microsoft PowerApps but I don't have work E-mail address

Now I need to purchase work email address and private hosting just for the Microsoft Powerpoint Trial. It does'nt make any sense.

Anyway I could do that ?

Re: Sign up without business or work email

Hi @amangoyal,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to sign up for PowerApps using your personal email address?

Currently, Personal Email address (e.g.  email address ends in outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, ...) is not supported to sign up for PowerApps.

PowerApps doesn't support email addresses provided by consumer email services or telecommunications providers currently.

If you sign up for PowerApps using your own personal email address, you would receive the following error message:

You entered a personal email address: Please enter your work email address so we can securely store your company's data.

Or

That looks like a personal email address. Enter your work address so we can connect you with others in your company. And don’t worry. We won’t share your address with anyone.

Please check the following article for more details:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/signup-for-powerapps#faq

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

Re: Sign up without business or work email

Yes, this is a shame. It's normal around here for small businesses to have provider type of email addresses. Aside from quitting my job to go work for a bigger company with an IT company that knows how to do this? What can be done to obtain the right email address? I'll do it! If only you could provide some guidance?!

Hi @Jen1221 ,

i think this a good workarround.

I want to use PowerApps to learn in my private time. I did not test it yet, but will try this on the weekend probably.
