Sort Gallery

I've been building an app that has a dashboard screen that shows appointments coming up. The appointments are listed in a gallery that gets records from a createappointment screen. I want the gallery page to sort the records according to the time of the appointment. Do I use sort or sortcolumns? Is the data source the gallery or the collection? Finally, do i place a sort button on the dashboardscreen to get it to sort, or can the dashboard screen automatically sort on visible?

Thanks

Re: Sort Gallery

I was able to get the gallery to sort...but I have another problem. The times for the appointments were manually inputed as text. Now when it sorts, it's able to sort between 8:00 and 12:00 no problem, but the afternoon times go to the top of the gallery. How can I get it to sort according to normal 24 hour clock time?

Re: Sort Gallery

You have to trasfer it back to time value or date-time value. If you have only time in your column then use

TimeValue(ColumnName)

If you have date and time use

DateTimeValue(ColumnName)
