Text Box to display drop down selection results

Hi everyone!

I thought I was almost there but seem to have hit a wall. Any help with this?

"So I have a drop down box and need a text label to display the result that is selected in this dropdown box"

This is the formula i entered in the 'Text' but the text box wont display the results.

LookUp(LocationDropDown.SelectedItems,Text(Value)

Thanks in advance!

Re: Text Box to display drop down selection results

Use this:

LocationDropdown.Selected.Value (or Selected.Text or Selected.ColumnName)

Re: Text Box to display drop down selection results

Hi @Courtney ,

Could you share the Items property of Dropdown? What is value property of dropdown(in right property panel)? and what is the type of that field?

In general, the formulas should be LocationDropDown.Selected.‘Your Field Name’ (single text column), or LocationDropDown.Selected.Value (choices or lookup column).

However, I am curious about ' LocationDropDown.SelectedItems' in your formula ,  as 'SelectedItems' property is for combo box.

So could you check your control type and post back the details information, it is useful to help you resolve this issue.

Best regards,

Sik

Dont give up on me so easily!

Is it a dropdown or a combobox? The two are very different.

Great!

Can you show me a screenshot of the dropdown's properties and the error you are getting trying to display its value in a textbox?
