USER not found error message

Hello all, i am new in power apps and i am having the followin issue:

I have a sharepoint list with various fields. One of the fields is sharepoint groups that i created to control user access to the list content. So far so good. I created a power app when to create a new item in the list to have a better user experience. The problem is that when i use the power app i receive the error message : user not found related to the sharepoint group i created. Is there any way to bypass the problem? I tried to add a button with patch function but the same message appears. I also tried to make a flow to fill the field automatically but the same error message received.

Please let me know if any solution exist. thank you

Re: USER not found error message

Hi @Dimis_e,

How was your app created? Could you share more details on it?

Are you trying to patch value to a column of type Person or group? What’s the function?

You said that you’ve tried to create a flow to fill the field automatically, how is the flow created?

Please share more details to help reproduce the issue.

By the way, person or group column in SharePoint list is considered as a lookup field, we should patch the whole record of the person to this field. I have made the following test using patch function to save data into the Title column and person column.

The code is configured likes below:

Patch(ListA,Defaults(ListA),{ Title:TextInput1.Text,

       person: {'@odata.type':"#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",

                       Claims:"i:0#.f|membership|test4@xxxxx.onmicrosoft.com",

                   Department:"",

                  DisplayName:"Test4",

                        Email:"Test4@xxxxx.onmicrosoft.com",

                     JobTitle:"",

                      Picture:""

             }})
