Update Property

Is there a way to update another objects property from another?

I have trash Icon, once it is clicked I would like another object, a button, to have a Visible value of true.  How can ou access another objects property?

Re: Update Property

Hi @duncant

You do that with the UpdateContext() function applied to the first button to set a variable.  You then use the variable to make the second button's visible property either true or false.  So for example make the first button's OnSelect property

UpdateContext({var:true})

and make the second button's Visible property  "var".  (without the ").  Set the var property to false as a default in the OnVisible property of the screen. (UpdateContext({var:false}).

To toggle the visibility of the second button you can set the first button's OnSelect property as UpdateContext({var:!var}).  If you play around with it you will see how it works.
