Update another dropdown box or combo box based on another dropdown box

How to change the selected value of one dropdown box based on the change in selection of another dropdown box.

In this case, I want to select a name, and based on that name, the other dropdown boxes will update their values based on the selection, otherwise remain the same.

So for instance, if I select a John, where the combo box is connected to a sharepoint link with a field called Region and has 'Australia'. The RateCard with [ "", "New Zealand", "Australia"] as options should update the value from empty or 'New Zealand' to 'Australia'.

Re: Update another dropdown box or combo box based on another dropdown box

Hi @Jerry1567 ,

Could you please share a bit more about the ComboBox related to the Name? Is it connected to a Person column in your SP list?

Could you please share a bit more about the Region field within your SP list data source? Is it a Choice type column?

I assume that the ComboBox related to the Name is connected to a Person column in your SP list, and the Region field is a Choice type column in your SP list data source, is it true?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:6.JPG

Set the DefaultSelectedItems property of the ComboBox within the Region Data card to following:

If(
    "Test1" in DataCardValue11.Selected.DisplayName, /* <-- DataCardValue11 represents the ComboBox control within the Executor Data card in my Edit form */
    {
        Value: "Asia"
    },
    Parent.Default
)

On your side, you should set the DefaultSelectedItems property of the ComboBox within the Rate Card to following:

If(
    "John" in NameComboBox.Selected.DisplayName, /* <-- NameComboBox represents the ComboBox control where you select a name in your Edit form */
{ Value: "Australia" }, Parent.Default )

Please consider take a try with above solution, then check if the issue is solved.
