Using Slider to create discount value and update new price

Hello All.

Firstly I am a newbie to this and have read all the documentation I can find and searched the community, alas cannot find the answer.

Here's my scenario,

I have a table in Excel that has a list of products and has the sales price.

What i would like is a slider that i can set a discount value in percent from 0 - 100.

Then in a box below the sales price this should be updated live as i move the slider, showing me the new sales price less the slider value.

Of course this is simple in Excel but the lack of support for simple formulas in PowerApps is hindering me.

Many thanks in advance.

Lee

Re: Using Slider to create discount value and update new price

Hi Vaioable,

About how to use slider control in PowerApps, please take a look at the below article:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/control-slider/

http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/using-slider-control-in-microsoft-powerapps/

Since you need a text box to show the price lively according to the discount value, you need to returns the result from multiplying the two numbers. You use * to do Multiplication in PowerApps. Example here:

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/function-aggregates/

Sum(Sales, CostPerUnit * UnitsSold)
