dropdown control sharepoint

scenario, from a drop-down list options 1, 2, 3, if you check option 1 the seller is A, if he marks option 2, the seller is B, and he continues but the user does not know who is seller A, B, C,

the idea is that it does not select from another drop-down list, that is assigned automatically question, from a drop-down list it is possible to assign the value of a field,

using sharepoint with a label it's easy, with a rule I change the property "TEXT" but connected to sharepoint I can not find a solution

Re: dropdown control sharepoint

Hi Emanuel

Thank you very much for the help

after reading a lot, I found another solution

for my case it was not necessary to have two drop-down lists
only 1

with this change, I just did this

List: Vendor
Column: Origin
Type: Choice (menu to choose from)
Values:
                USA
               Regional Office
                CO MCO
In powerapps: DataCardValue52

Column: AssignedToEmail
Type: Single line of text
In powerapps: DataCardValue61

If (DataCardValue52.Selected.Value = "EU"; "javier.zorro @"; DataCardValue52.Selected.Value = "Regional Office"; "valeria.jimenez @"; DataCardValue52.Selected.Value = "CO MCO"; "natalia .towers@")

this field is very important, it uses flow, to send the approvals

the objective is met
set the value of a field, and it works, it changes automatically according to the selection of the drop-down list

thank you

Re: dropdown control sharepoint

Hi @javierz,

You should be able to set the current value of a SharePoint dropdown with the following formula:

Lookup(Choices(<yourdatasource>.<somefield>),Value="<thevalue>")

Tell is if this worked... 🙂

Re: dropdown control sharepoint

thanks for the help
I tried but it was not possible
I have an idea
remove the second drop-down list

add
1 field, text entry (view mode)
try this code
on the property Update of the text entry card "AssignedToEmail"

If (DataCardValue15.Selected.Value = "West"; "A"; "B")

but nothing happens

Re: dropdown control sharepoint

Ok, don't worry, we're going to find the solution. I just need to understand exactly what you're trying to do...

Could you describe with more precision the two dropdowns you're trying to use (names, datasource, content, interesting formulas, ...) and explain how you would like them to function ?

In fact, in your second capture, the formula I see is wrong:

LookUp(Choices(Vendor.Origen);Value="Id")

If you want to lookup for a value in Vendor.Origen that depends on another DataCard, you have to do something like this:

LookUp(Choices(Vendor.Origen);Value="Origen1")
-or-
LookUp(Choices(Vendor.Origen);Value=DataCardValue_XX.Selected.Id (if DataCardValue_XX is another dropdown)

But please, give us as much details as you can on your dropdowns and datasource so I can give the right formulas... 🙂
