Surprisingly we only have one offline twitter example available online.
I would like to develop an app to allow field users to reference a sharepoint excel file that is updated requently.
in the app , I created two datasource , one for the table in the excel file , one for a collection updated from the excel file when online. I have a tabledata control linked to the collection to show data to users.
when connected online, invision func, I copy the table from excel datasource to the collection , and then save the collection to a local file, when not connected it will loaddata from the local file to the collection.
I run the app without problems when online. after I run the app online successfully, I close the app and then turn the mobile into airplain mode, and then start the app. then app report an error stating excel table data source if not available and failed to connect, which is understandable. it is suppose to load the local file to the collection and continue to run. however, it failed to get the data in the tabledata control.
Thanks, I got it working, I used the wrong function! however , I need to update some records back to the source dataset. I downloaded the dataset and updated some of , which is saved in a local collection/file, and need to patch the records back to the orignial data source, I know patch can batch update table records, but failed to do so. my table have mulitple fields as table primary key. tried Patch(sourcedata, localupdedrecordstable) but did not work.
