Hello
I created many entities in the CDS and alot of them must be link to each other. but when I click to add a relationship I can only add a lookup. I would like to be able to add a one-to-many or a many-to-many relationship between my entities in the CDS. How can I do this?
Thank you.
Hi FeelTheBeat,
I assume that you could refer to this documentation about “Build a relationship between entities”:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/tutorials/data-platform-entity-lookup/
From this documentation, we know that Many-to-many relationship is currently not supported yet, while about how to create One-to-many relationship, I haven’t found a related documentation on it. I am confirming from my side and I will back to you once I got any updates.
Best regards,

Hello V-Yamao
Thank you for your quick reply and for helping i'm kinda in a dead end right now 😕
Have you found away to create a one to many relationship ?
Hi FeelTheBeat,
Thanks for posting! Right now we only support creating the relationship from one direction, but you can support both one-to-many and many-to-one relationships, as long as its created from the correct relationship. If you would like to create a one-to-many relationship from Entity A to Entity B, you would add a lookup to Entity B pointing to A.
For many to many, while we dont support an automated way to do this - you can look at a standard entity "Team member" as an example. This is an entity which sits between two other entities, creating a many-to-many relationship betweent those entities. You can create the same by creating a new custom entity with two lookup fields, one to each of the entities you would like to form the many to many relationship.
We are looking in the future at making this easier in the portal, but hopefully this unblocks you for now.
Thanks,
