right align numbers

This is a very basic question, but for some reason when I right justify a number it aligns beyond the size of the field so that I cannot see the number.  The only way for me to view the number is by left justiyfing the number.   Here is what I have coded:

Datacard level

Default = ThisItem.HourlyRate

Field level

Align = Align.right

Default=Text(Value(Parent.Default),"[$-en-US]#,###,##0.00")

Any thoughts or reason why this would be happening?

Re: right align numbers

Check to see if you DataCard is wider than your actual form...sometimes that can accidently happen when doing some formatting and it can cause that.

Also, check the Width of the DataCardValue...it typically defaults to Parent.Width - 60 or something but you might need to change that if it isn't lining up right for your needs.

Re: right align numbers

The datacard is not wider than the form and I've hardcoded my width to 150.  The field is within the datacard

Re: right align numbers

For some reason this occurs on all numbers on all forms that I use.  I'm accessing a Sharepoint list and the field is defined as a number.
