I have an excel sheet with 2000+ rows and approximately 10 columns. I can only access information in the first 500 rows?
I can read that there is a 500 row limit, when will this be solved, and is there a work around until then? it is impossible to work with in excel given this limit..
This limitation of 500 rows applies to the number of records returned from a data source not to the control displaying the records.
You could consider to use Filter/Search/Lookup function to access all the records in the table.
Please check this documentation about Delegation for more details:
Thank you for your respons, but is delegation available for Excel? I saw a list where it said delegation was "coming soon" to Excel lists. What if I have a list in Dynamics 365 Operations? can I delegate that as well?
About delegation for Excel, I am confirming from my side, I am not sure if it is available now.
I will keep an eye on this issue and back to you.
About Dynamics 365 for Operations, it is currently not supported. Please see this documentation about Delegable data sources for more details:
Alright, thank you for the answer. I guess I have to find another solution for now then.
I have a simple problem. I have an issue with the search function in my app. It is only in some of the apps I make that the search function will work with the dataset that is setup in the app. Do you know where I can find information on this?
You could find any available information about PowerApps from this documentation:
About Search function, please check this link for more details:
I might put in the search function the wrong place. I do not think the guide shows where to put in the search function in relation to the data source correctly?
There is no way to return more than 500 records with powers apps when your datasource is an Excel.
The delegation mechanism people are referring to does not apply to Excel.
I learned it the hard way too.
What I had to do was to segment my data in various tables.
A cleaner way around it is to use anoter datasource (Store your data in a database instead of an Excel).
Hopefully this will be supported some day!
Do you have any update on this when we can filter the rows from the excel containing above 500 rows.
This is really making my application useless for my company.
