AUTO POULATE COLUMN FIELDS IN EXCEL FOR EACH ADDED RECORD

Good Morning Power Apps Community,

App is connected to an Excel File or SharePoint list.  When the submitter selects the month from a dropdown, need each record added to have the month column auto-populated based on the month selected.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

chudson002

Hi @chudson002,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to populate the month column based on the dropdown selected items?

I assume that the month column is a Text type and you want to populate the text field based on the dropdown selected.

On this premise, I have a test on my side which you can take a try as below:

  • Set the Items property of the dropdown as:

Distinct(Table1,Month)

  • Set the Default property of the TextInput as:

 Dropdown1.Selected.Result

If there is anything wrong with my assumptions, please contact me at your convenience.

Best Regards,

Qi

@chudson002

Please show an example of your progress so far.  Screenshots are best.

I'm having trouble understanding what your app does and what it needs to do.  Give an example of what needs to happen.  This is often more clear than just the description of a problem.
