Hello Team, I'm working on a reference guide for my organisation with power app. it has 10000 rows & this will be used globally. The usage will not be high. My concern is : the data is located on SQL server, we want this to be access free. it will be only read only app. How can I make the data available to all users without any access request from users.
please help me to resolve this issue. I want to conduct test.
Hi @AshwiniRajput ,
PowerApps use the same permission from the data source side. That is to say, if your user doesn't have the permission to view the data in SQL server, then it is not possible for him to view it from SQL server connection in PowerApps either.
If you use the On Premise Data Gateway, you can install this on the server where SQL resides and then connect to it via PowerApps.
Using a user with the right credentials to access SQL is vital for the configuration.
Once you've got this in place, you can then configure your gateway in PowerApps, and connect to your data. It's exactly what I've put in place for a number of clients
