I am not sure what the problem is then. If you can type your name into the formula and it works then your LookUp formula is built well. But if User().Email does not return anything then it does not match your typed email. All I can suggest at this point is putting User().Email in a label any looking to spot any differences. Also, check the length using the LEN function. Other than that I am all out of ideas here... Sorry, I really wanted to help.
That's okay, I myself is shouting left and right out of desperation - this should be soooo simple, then why the he.. doesn't it work… 😠
Maybe you can tell me how the Set( ) function work, or confirm me in my believes.
Set(MyACLprofile; LookUp(UserCreationACL; UserEmail=Lower(User().Email) ))
It creates a variable called MyACLprofile.
To put anything in that variable, the lookup takes the Sharepoint list and compairs the column UserEmail with the logged in users email (in lower case).
If the Sharepoint list contains multiple columns MyACLprofile will basically be an array containing all columns and there respective data.
Is that correct?
I think I cracked it now, if I put lower() on UserEmail also, it seems to work.
Set(MyACLprofile; LookUp(UserCreationACL; Lower(UserEmail)=Lower(User().Email) ))
A bit strange when UserEmail was in lower case from the start...🤔
Haha. I thought you would have tried that already. If you take a look back at message #8 in the thread you will see I had suggested it. I did wonder if you'd get delegation warnings but if there is no error message then its fine.
Glad its working for you now. Please remember to close the thread if the issue is solved.
