Add a table of data to a form in model driven app

Hi PowerApps folks!

I am moving a client from Sharepoint lists and Word doc forms into a Model Driven App with CDS as backend.

In these forms there a lots of sections with tables capturing data needed i.e.

AssetEstimated ValueDebtLending InstitutionComments
Asset 1900000560000Bank 1blah blah
Asset 2 80000Bank 1random text
Asset 354888898000Bank 2comment 3

What is the best way to do this in Model Driven App forms?

Is it create an entity for the items being captured and insert a quick view form within the main form, simialr to the way capturing contacts works?

Or are there other methods that people have used that work well?

So create an Asset entity(Table) with the columns required and pull it into my main form?

Thanks!

Mark

Hi @markikav how are you?

@markikav I would like to advise you to first read this article about Model Driven apps Overview of building a model-driven app with Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

In your case, create a new table and after that add it on the app will achieve your needs.

On the article, please, take a look on "Modeling business data" and after "Building your first model-driven app" at Build your first model-driven app from scratch with Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs
