Add image from camera is not working in Huawei (and some other Androids)

This issue still exist and our users can not use the app in PowerApps Mobile! The AppendMediaButton.Media image is not captured in Huawei devices. Have tried (after new 31.5. mobile release) to re-publish app, re-install mobile and clear cache. 

Haven't seen any comments from Micrsoft team to fix this issue when it was reported in other chains??

This is now solved and i succesfully tested in a few Huawei devices.

I made a ticket and really hope that the issue will be solved quickly. I maintain apps for different customer organisations and mobile device camera is an essential part of the solutions and in active daily use by many users.

Huawei is a common label within the users so the issue is serious. I already start to hear doubts about reliability of Power Apps in critical business use.

MS Technical support:

"The new restrictions prevent us from providing Microsoft software updates to all Huawei Devices that consumers have already purchased."

 

- Having PowerApps in development phase as a platform, this propably means more issues in the future.

 

 

@v-yuxima-msft  -  How can you mark my post "solved" without giving any solution to this technical error? You propose me to contact your technical support - BUT if you really read my post you would have noticed that i did, and they confirmed (both in email and in phone) that at the moment they can not solve the problem for those reasons.

 

- The matter is far away from solved.

 

- Still waiting news from Microsoft at this matter!

Is there no solution for this? Since about two weeks some of our employees have had the described error, before that everything was running smoothly. In general the performance of the app is limited since a few weeks. That the app freezes after the photos, happens only on some devices and only on iPhones.

Hi, in our case it got fixed a few weeks ago. No idea who changed something (MS or Huawei), but it was fixed without any updates in user end to PA mobile or the app it self.
