Adding New Item to Sharepoint List with PowerApps Form

Hello everyone,

I'm new to PowerApps and I could use some help.

I'm creating a form for users to submit requests into a Sharepoint List.

I'm able to edit existing requests in the list through my PowerApp.

When it comes to adding new requests to the list I'm stumped.

I'm using the Gov limited version of PowerApps, so I can't simply autogenerate this form through Sharepoint.

The attached screenshots are of my app in the editing screen and running.

Thanks,

jhowell

Re: Adding New Item to Sharepoint List with PowerApps Form

Hi,

For a New item with the same Form you should change the Default mode to 'New'.

You may want to add a button that changes the mode depending on whether you need to amend an existing item or add a new one? Or have forms on different screens with their mode set per screen (i.e. one for New and one for Existing).

Thank you Wayne!

Easy to overlook this stuff, PowerApps offers a lot of customization!

You're very welcome!

Yes the amount of configuration possible can be overwhelming at times (in a good way)!
