Allow or disallow status change from the app

Hello everyone!

I have an SP list for products and one of the columns is "choice" style containing the status of the products. In my App there is a screen where the user (the seller) can change the status of this product, changing from free to sold, for example. However, I wanted to create an authorization system, where the status will only actually change when the owner authorizes it, so the user requests the status change and the owner allows it or not.

Can someone help me?

You can set up the configuration as below:

Instead of patching the updates to data source, you can trigger a Power Automate Flow. The flow will have a trigger of Power Apps and then you can Pass Item ID and the updated status text.

Power Automate then gets the item details using ID and start an approval process(Start and Wait - First to respond) to the person who created this record. Once the approver selected approve, you can add a condition to check the approver's response. If it is approved, then you can update the column in SharePoint using the ID.

Hope this Helps!
