An error occurred on the server.

I'm getting this error message in my app. I appears on my gallery page and won't load any data from my gallery. I have tried to view the app on the web, through Teams, and on mobile and am getting the same error. I'm not sure if this issue is self-inflicted, a SharePoint issue, or a PowerApps issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This was apparently caused by having too many lookup columns in my list. I had to go back in and completely change the setup of my list, which was not ideal. It's working now, but this is surely something that should be looked into. What's the point of only allowing a handful of lookups?

I got the same issue, the error appears quite frequently on my side (~twice a week)...

And just dont know why the user just cannot load the table now, nothing changes in permission (in one drive excel and powerapps)

so frustrating that I moved all my datasource to google drive and works even better and smooth than before.....................just dont know what MS is thinking about

Hi @nhalvorson,

Are you using SharePoint online list as data source? Would you please share the formula you used on the browser gallery? How many items do you have in this list?

Regards,

Mona

Yes, the datasource is a SharePoint online list. It looks like it's maybe only an issue with one particular list? I've tried removing this list as a data source and adding it back in, it didn't help anything. Maybe something with that list is broken? I have no clue. There's only one item in the list at the moment.

We have just started seeing this error on a SharePoint list form 2 or 3 days ago. It's one of our client's forms containing loads of business logic!

For us it occurs on the actual 'Item' property on the form itself - see screenshot.

We urgently need a fix - come on PowerApps team!

Just done some further research and i'm pretty certain our form was working fine in PowerApps release 2.0.802 and since 3.18033.1 it is now broken.

It's worth you guys looking at the versions page for your PowerApp and seeing what release version it is on.

We can't revert ours due to the amount of custom logic in it 😞

Snap - I confirmed this with the PowerApps team - too many lookup columns. The limit is apparently 12 of lookups and MMD columns (not including Created By or Modified By).

Interestingly the PowerApps team said this -

"We do have a backlog item to support creating forms using views in which case you will be able limit the columns available in PowerApps. I don’t have a timeline around when this will be available."

Which would be very handy!

Hi ,

I am also facing the same issue . Any update from powerapps team on this .

Thanks

Same here. Issue seems to be related to any One Drive location.
