Any Way to Pop Up a Notification if You Click a DisplayMode.Disabled Gallery Item?

So I'm trying to make it so a user can't click another item in the gallery if they have unsaved changes. Basically in the DisplayMode property of my Gallery, I say If(Form1.Unsaved, Disabled, Edit).

It works great and greys out the gallery until items are saved. What I'd like is if they click on the greyed out gallery it pops up a notification saying to save your work if you want to select another project. I tried putting code in the OnSelect property basically saying if in Disabled DisplayMode, popup a notification, otherwise let the user click the item. That didn't seem to trigger a selection since I'm guessing because it's disabled lol.

I tried putting all of the code in the OnSelect property to begin with, however even though it didn't seem to let me click other items in the gallery and would also popup a notification, it did somehow select something in the background because I'd start to get duplicate records OR sometimes one record would take on the properties of another. So I'm avoiding anything that lets a user actually click on a listed gallery item.

Any ideas on how I can trigger a notification to a user when they click on a disabled gallery item? Thanks!

You could put a button over the top of disabled gallery, set all its properties to transparent, and have its visible property = If(Gallery.DisplayMode = DisplayMode.Disabled)

Then on the button's OnSelect() property, use it to trigger your popup.

Unfortunately I can't take a picture because it has sensitive work stuff on it. If I blurred it all out it would be useless.

Essentially I'm wondering if I set the gallery to DisplayMode.Disabled, can I still trigger an action OnSelect? Basically when it's disabled, if a user clicks on the gallery to select something else, I want to trigger a popup that says they must save their changes before they're allowed to select something else.

This works! I was hoping to maintain the ability to still be able to scroll and even filter so you can compare other projects to the currently edited project but this should work for now. If the team wants more, I'll come and post a new thread. Thanks!
