App to allow users to select sharepoint items from multiple lists

first - I am new to powerapps. I have created some basic flows in power automate but nothing very complicated so far.

so my first question is this - is my idea something that I can actually create in powerapps?

and my next question would be asking if you can point me to a tutorial that would show me more about how to do so.

I have several sharepoint lists. A list of store names and their associated numbers, a list of types of notifications, and a list that has email addresses, which store they are with, and yes/no for each notification type.

I would like to start an app with a screen where the user can pick the store number and then choose which notification to send and then an email will be sent to the appropriate email addresses matching that store number and the notification type.  So store 123 might have 3 people on staff that get notification Early but only 2 get the notification Late. So my flow in the background would need to match both options.

thank you for any help you can point me to. I’ve done some searching but I’m not sure if I’m starting correctly with powerapps because I never see the option to add another data connection. And I haven’t figured out how to allow users to select an item from the list but only to see the list as a directory.

Hi @BeckyC ,

Your use case is definitely doable in powerapps. Maybe you can start by breaking into smaller tasks so that it does not sound as overwhelming. Here are some resources that I find useful when I first started:

1. PowerApps with a Sharepoint List

You can add multiple data connection in powerapps by adding the sharepoint list connection here

Once you click on sharepoint, on the right hand side of your powerapps maker screen, you will see a full list of sharepoint sites, select the one that you want to connect.

Select the list that you would like to connect. You can select multiple lists at one time

2. Send emails with PowerApps

Both resources are by @ShaneYoung as I find his videos easy to understand for people who just started on PowerApps. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help.

I decided to start with a very basic  - just display from excel - app. It just seemed like I was over my head to start on this. But as I've got it working and started adding little extras, I think I am understanding powerapps a little better.

Thank you again for your help - I will keep studying your info til I have all my extras added in to my app.
