Approval Changed Record

I'm working at an App which just displays a Gallery of records in a SQL table.
Selecting an item in the Gallery shows the form with all fields. When I change a field I need the change being approved first, before submitting the form.

For adding and removing records I simply update the status field to "Pending Add" or "Pending Del", and I can Filter on these records in another Gallery and on Approval or Declining I patch the records accordingly.

That methode I cannot use on Editing an existing record. Since I can not go back to the previous state when the change is declined.

Can someone help me with this please?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I do not understand would like to achieve from your description above.  Can you please share a few scenarios showing how the form should work. Some screenshots of your app would be great too!

Hi @BClouded ,

Could you please explain why  you "can not go back to the previous state when the change is declined."? Is  Approval or Declining one of the column in SQL table?

Thanks for thinking with me.
But let me make my question more open.

What I'm trying to achieve is following: I want to implement a possible "undo" of a submitform action; after editing an existing record. So not on adding a new record.

I was thinking of using a "mirror database", like this:
1. Save Record in Mirror DB
2. Submit Changes to Record in Original DB
3. Compare both records in Mirror DB and Original DB -> So approver sees easily what has been changed.
4. On Approve: Remove record in Mirror DB
5. On Decline: Remove record in Original DB and copy record from Mirror to Original DB.

Or is there an easier more direct way to achieve this somehow?
