Approval flow error: Found no matching users for email address


When I configured group mail id in Microsoft Flow in the approval process to send an email, mails are not receiving to the users under the group. But if we configure individual id or multiple id’s with semicolons then mail is receiving to the users. Has anyone else encountered this error? Can anyone help?

Error : The request failed. Error code: 'GraphUserDetailByEmailNotFound'. Error Message: 'Found no matching users for ''.'.

Hi @krao,


Thanks for the feedback.

The Approval->Start an Approval does not support Group Email type.

If you would like to take use of Group Email, then please switch to Office 365 Outlook->Send an Approval Email action.

Outlook Approval Action would accept the Group Email as available input, but the Approval Email won't be sent to the Group Members, the Approval Email would be delivered to the corresponding Group MailBox account.
