Apps & Flow sharing issues

Is there a way to ship/share a specific flow with an app?

I've set up a flow to send me a push notification whenever the data (sharepoint list) my app is based on is changed.

This works fine, but this is a personal flow and I cannot integrate this into the app, i.e. nobody whom I share the app with gets the push notification when I change the data because they do not have the flow.

Also, is there a roadmap for powerapps? It would be handy to see what functionality the future will bring!

Thanks in advance,

Lars

Hi

Whenever you share your apps, you need to share the flow as well, so that the integrated flow (inside Apps) will be enabled in your shared apps when used by others.

- It is similar to Excel in Cloud, that sharing of apps must be with Excel files

- For CDM, it will be shared automatically when sharing apps to others.

Please see the link on:

Hope this helps.,

.....  Share app resources

Before you share an app, consider the types of resources on which it relies, such as one or more of the following:

  • a connection to a data source
  • an on-premises data gateway
  • a custom API
  • an Excel workbook or other service
  • a flow

Some of these resources are shared automatically when you share the app. Other resources require you or the people with whom you share the app to take extra steps so that the app works as you expect.

Thank you for replying!

I take it I can't directly share my specific Flow for now, as it isn't a flow from enduser to the datasource but the opposite and that must be personally configured.

For the roadmap, I'll keep a keen eye on the release notes.

Hi

Great to hear you get thru.

FLOW must be also be shared separately.

PowerApps group has been trying to improve on their tutorials, but anyway, there are always room for improvement.

Whenever I found something in the tutorials not giving a clear guidance, please just click No to say that you are not satisfied and then, write in your suggeestion, A ticket will be opened immediately and sent back to you. There will be a program manager approach you to solve the problem.

What I mean here is SUGGESTION for them so that they can improve rather...hope you agree with me!.

Have a nice day.

Hi Hpkeong,

I'll try to do this where ever I can!
