Archiving SharePoint list items with flow

i have SharePoint list with name employee, i would like to archive the list items based on the Quarter and created archived lists as Year2018/1, Year2018/2,Year2018/3, Year2018/4.

Please suggest me how to achive this with flows, if an item is created 9 months back to current date it has to move to Year2018/1 and if item is created 6 months back it has to move to Year2018/2 and if item is created 3 months back it has to move to Year2018/3

Re: Archiving SharePoint list items with flow

Hi @satya,

Since you have posted in PowerApps forum, I will just discuss about how to achieve this using PowerApps. As for how to use Flow to achieve this, please post in Flow community instead here:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Flow-Community/ct-p/FlowCommunity

Or refer to:

https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Move-Sharepoint-Item-to-a-second-list/td-p/61408

To achieve this, first of all you need to make sure that the original list and the target lists(Year2018/1, Year2018/2,Year2018/3, Year2018/4) has the same columns types(including choice column options). To make it even easier, it would be even better that they have the same column names.

In PowerApps, add List1, Year2018/1, Year2018/2,Year2018/3 lists as data sources. In Screen1, set the OnStart property to:

ClearCollect(C1,Filter(List1,Created < DateAdd( Today(), -9, Months )));
ClearCollect(C2,Filter(List1,Created < DateAdd( Today(), -6, Months )));
ClearCollect(C3,Filter(List1,Created < DateAdd( Today(), -3, Months )))

If List1 and Year2018/1/Year2018/2/Year2018/3 have exactly the same columns, then you just need to a  button, then set its OnSelect property to:

Patch(Year2018/1,Defaults(Year2018/1),C1);
Patch(Year2018/2,Defaults(Year2018/2),C2);
Patch(Year2018/3,Defaults(Year2018/3),C3)

Regards,

Mona
