Auto populate fields based on the users inputs

Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to powerapps, so please bare with me as this might be a fairly newbie question.

Okay, so I have a sharepoint list which contains information about products, including the name, description, price and unique product number.

I want to be able to enter the product number on a field on PowerApps, it should then return all the information of that product in powerapps, by fetching the information from the sharepoint list.

I have created a powerapp from the list, but now ensure how to go about doing this.

I hope I have been clear enough.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Re: Auto populate fields based on the users inputs

That depends on which control you would like to show the record information.

For example, if you would like to display the Product details, then here we should take use of ViewForm control.

For how to work with form control, see:

Understand Data forms in PowerApps

For example, to configure the form control to show the record for the product entered, we could follow the steps below:

1. Data Source property configured to SharePoint list,

2. Item property configured to the formula below:

Lookup(SharePointList, ProductNumber=TextInput.Text)
