I am now working on a project where we will have several hundred users. We will be cycling through frequent updates during the initial deployment phases.
When does a locally installed app (phone or tablet) detect whether there is an updated version to download?

It is ""every time it starts" with one small caveat that in certain cases if the app was started within a minute of new version being published, it may still run the previous version as it is not aware of the latest version.
