Autopopulate manager

I am using a combo box linked to Office365Users. I have set the default to populated for the current user and their LM, but if this needs changing, I'd like the LM to auto update based on the update.

Defaultselecteditems on both are at present:

Office365Users.MyProfile()

Office365Users.Manager(User().Email)

How do I change it so that the second one updates based on the selection of the first box?

This is not going to work for you.  You are dealing with two DIFFERENT record types.  Although you might get something to display in the control, it will not write successfully.

Please have a look at this post from this week that discusses this in full.

I hope this is helpful for you.

What is your items property on the first combobox?

You might be able to make this work:

Office365Users.ManagerV2(ComboBoxX.Selected.Email).displayName

It's flagging an error 'expected table value', this goes for any of the fields I choose (mail, name etc)

When I say it's not going to work...I mean the formulas you are trying.

However, what you are doing is VERY possible.  Please review the link I mentioned.  The thing is you just need to have the record type that is expected for SharePoint.  You can convert them easily as mentioned in the posted link.

As long as you do that, you can have what you want with no problem.
