Hello! Happy Monday.
I have a ton of date columns in my SharePoint list. I have the find the average between each pair of dates. Number two requirement is the one i can not figure out for the LIFE of me.
1. Find the difference between the dates individually.
I do so using this formula referencing the form on the screen. Works great.
2. Find the average of the all the days.
For example using the image. I have a column information requested and Information Received. The formula above is used to note the date difference was a total of 1 day on the right using information from datacards from the Form on the left.
Now I need to find the average for all my list items. Say one item took 1 day, one item took 5 days, one item took 3 days etc. I need to find the average of all items. These items are in a SharePoint list, but they are also in a Gallery on my power app. I am willing to di it via SharePoint or via power app formula.
I thank you in advance. I always mark the solution to my questions! Promise 🙂
Is this the same Items property formula as your prior post, or do you have a different one? If so, what is it at this point?
HI again @RandyHayes !!
Different app so different list/gallery. I think dates just confuse me!
Do you have any idea about how to get that column average from the list? Within or outside of my power app? Im trying to compare it to an excel formula but i just can't get my head around it.
Yes, what is the Items property formula and what are the column names you are comparing?
Good morning, @RandyHayes the item is a selection based off the gallery on the left. so hope to be pulling my averages from those items 🙂
Update in case anyone has read this or is having the same issue.
I made a calc column in my SP list for the date difference (its a text column though..)
then in power apps I use this to add the column for all items then divide by the number of gallery items:
Sum(Gallery2.AllItems, ThisRecord.DateDiff) / CountRows(Gallery2.AllItems)
I still would rather do this all in power apps...need help still -___- I want this to be a measure of time rather than just text (Days) like...Days Hours Minutes. Will keep working and update here.
