BUG: Patch from Gallery?

Hello,

Fairly certain this is a bug. Someone please test on their end to confirm.

Scenario:

  • Data Source: Collection
  • Control Type: Textbox within a Gallery
  • Action: OnChange
    • Code: THIS CORRECTLY UPDATES THE COLLECTION: Patch(colTest, ThisItem, { SerialNumber: txtSerial.Text })
  • Control Type: Dropdown within a GalleryCode
  • Action: OnChange
    • Code: THIS DOES NOT UPDATE THE COLLECTION: Patch(colTest, ThisItem, {ReasonCode: ddReasonCode.Selected.Value})

I know a workaround is to use UpdateIf in place of Patch. I'm not looking for a workaround, I'm looking to report a potential bug.

Can anyone else reproduce this behavior? If so, lets get it addressed so that code is consistent between controls.Thanks

Same issue with a Checkbox control; OnCheck/OnUncheck properties.

This works for all controls (Textbox OnChange, Dropdown OnChange, Checkbox On/UnCheck) whereas the Patch() code above only works for Textbox OnChange.

UpdateIf(colTest,
    column1 = "somethingUnique",
    {
        SerialNumber: txtSerial.Text
    }
)
