BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

PA doesn't remove all rows from SQL when asked. I managed to remove between 200 to 1000 rows at one click I have tried

RemoveIf('dbo test', id>0)

I have tried to collect all rows into a collection and used

Remove('dbo test', testCollection)

Nothing work properly

Re: BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

VERSION 3.18033.1.0

No fix.. and it even gets worst.

I'm getting an error code 1 when trying to patch 500 rows into empty table form a collection. When finished patching only 284 rows are added (time 1minute). So I tried to remove them all from the SQL and try again.. It took another 1 minute to remove them. On second attempt to patch 500 rows from a collection, it only patch 301 rows but now without the error. Only the Patch code is errored out and it says "error has occurred on a server". When trying to refresh the table with a code I get the same error again. Second time lucky. I'm adding another 199 rows. Now I got all 500 rows in the table. I'm trying to remove them. Once again exactly 300 rows are removed.

I can be patient but this ignorance from PG is really making me mad... So far I didn't get any confirmation to this issue... absolutely nothing. Just @v-monli-msft with useless message and no further reply. Thanks a lot !! There is absolutely no way I'm getting this program to a business with this kinda attitude

Re: BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

Hi @Sienna,

This is due to that even though SQL is delegatable data source, RemoveIf does not support delegation, so please check how many rows do you have for this SQL data source in total. If there are less than 2000, you may set the values for the data row limit to 2000. Notice that values close to the 2000 limit may adversely affect performance.

About more information about delegation, please read through below documentations:

Re: BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

@v-monli-msft

Yes I know.. I got the data row limit set to 2000. I have thought about that so I have done multiple tests with it.

I have tested it to remove 500 rows it removed 350, I have tested it to remove 1000 rows it removed 650. It never removed all rows I have asked... I have tried RemoveIf, I have tried Remove. After each remove I have collected the table into collection and counted rows and there were mismatch. Please test it

Re: BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

@v-monli-msft

I'm testing now again. I have added 500 rows into SQL. I have tried to removed all 500 row... It removed 300

I tried to removed rest 200.. it removed all

I have added another 500 rows and try to remove first 400 rows and it removed again 300 rows only

Data row limit is set to 2000. If you want me to post here the test app I'll be more then happy to do that but please TEST IT.

YOU GOT A NASTY BUG THERE

I rather not gonna talk about the performance

Re: BUG REPORT: Removing multiple rows from SQL

@Sienna  I know you were extremely engaged in the PowerApps forum and it is interesting to see you haven't posted anything since around April 2018.  I assume it is related to how the PG has handled bugs, issues, and updates.  I stopped my pursuit of PowerApps in March 2018 because of this same reason after developing several extensive apps that could not be implemented because of delays in basic functions and the lack of confidence in the PowerApps team to address and effectively communicate reasonable expectations.  I have just began to review the "What's New" and the "Completed - Ideas" and it appears they are making some progress - particularly as MS is strongly promoting the Dynamics 365 integration and CDS platform.  Just curious are you still working with PowerApps?
