Anyone else having an issue selecting Controls in the Web Editor? I'm unable so select Controls either via mouse or via the left pane. See .gif below.
Notice: I'm in the web EDITOR, clicking all over the place, but unable to select a Control. its like its stuck in Preview Mode.
I have made a test on my side and don't have the issue that you mentioned. The screenshot as below:
Please check if you have been holding the "Alt " key within your keyboard when you select the controls within your app screen.
Currently, you could activate controls within your app screen while holding "Alt" key within your keyboard. Please check the following blog for more details:
In addition, you could also take a try to clear cache of your browser, and then try it again within PowerApps Studio (for web) In preview mode, check if the issue is solved on your side.
Hi @v-xida-msft. Thank you for taking the time to test.
When the app is first loaded, Controls are selectable. After I use ALT OR Preview-mode to select a Control, all Controls REMAIN UNSELECTABLE when ALT OR Preview-mode is closed.
This is very disconcerting now because I need to edit this app. What should I do here?
Some more symptoms my app is having:
Lucky this app isn't in production yet or I couldn't edit it. Would really like the PA team to look further into this. .
I also had the same issue with Chrome.
So i checked it with Edge & it works fine.
There was a recent update with Chrome, think it has something to do with it, not Powerapps.
Seeing a similar issue. I determined in my case that if I had both Improved App Rendering and Formula Level error Management turned on, after putting an app in development into Preview mode in the browser client, the client starts to act up and become unresponsive after exiting playback mode. These settings are in App Settings, Advanced Settings.
If you have both active, try disabling one or both, save your app, exit and reload the app, and see if things play nicely after entering and exiting preview mode.
YMMV. Good luck!
