Bad gateway 502 Power apps patch update row function

Goodday, I am trying to patch an id into a different table via manual selection of dropdowns the id is selected see below:

DvdH_0-1674123586443.png

User chooses task(full_processorder_id)
Then chooses the reason for "Timeloss"
Then clicks the button to push that reason_category_id into the correct table.
See ERD below.

Also see the workflow written out in SQL/Pseudo code.

Top section is workflow of how i get all data.
Insert into is the function i am trying to run with the button.

Patch(
   'DD.product_subunit_batch_step_timeloss',
   LookUp(
      'DD.product_subunit_batch_step_timeloss',
      batch_cycle_id = dataholder_batch_cycle_id.Selected.batch_cycle_id
   ),
        {reason_category_id: Value(input_reason_category_id.Text)}
)

See code off button above. And see the monitor session below:

I found another bug while writing this that my reason_category_id doesn't get parsed. It was parsing before i dont know what changed. Any help is welcome.

Thanks all, we found the issue in the backend. We were using an SQL storage which didn't allow for FK, PK this means the data for the FK were manually entered and the innerjoin's were erroring. When we changed the DB it should work.

Reason_category_id is clearly parsed but i still can't seem to update the existing row. Same error persists.

@WarrenBelz I see u have a good understanding of PowerApps any chance u could help? The code itself should be fine since i ran a normal patch to add a new row and i got the same errors. All data is parsed as shown in monitor session i just can't figure out why it won't submit the patch to the SQL Server. Connection is correct since i got access to all data. The account used for connection is an admin account which has permission to update a table in the SQL Server management studio aswell. Any help is so welcome been stuck on this issue for awhile now.

HI @DvdH ,

The first thing that comes to mind is to check if the account your are using has the right level of permissions to write back to the SQL data source.

Alternatively you can try hard-coding some of the references in the Patch statement to see if the issue lies there. For instance, by replacing the reference to input_reason_category_id with a numerical value:

Patch(
   'DD.product_subunit_batch_step_timeloss',
   LookUp(
      'DD.product_subunit_batch_step_timeloss',
      batch_cycle_id = dataholder_batch_cycle_id.Selected.batch_cycle_id
   ),
        {reason_category_id: 10)}
)

Hi, Thanks for replying we went through all these steps.
Account has ALL permissions as its an admin account specificly created for this.
Any patch function gives a similar error meaning it lays in connection.
I can't seem to figure out where though reconnecting date didn't work either.
All data is readable in the PowerApp just the Patch update is not working even with correct permissions.

Thanks for the reply! Been trying to solve this for over a week now.

Same error persists. Had to use value() because it gives an error that it isnt a number otherwise.
the _1 in table name is due to reconnecting the data and names automatticly changing. This doesn't impact anything.
