Barcode scanning not working on iOS iPhone

Hi,

I am capturing one or more barcodes in a collection which then gets saved.

The barcode button uses this onselect:

Collect(ScannerButton1,{ScannedBarcode: ScanBarcode()})

The field itself uses this default:

If(ThisItem.AccessConcreteSlab = Blank(), Concat(ScannerButton1, ", " & ScannedBarcode),ThisItem.AccessConcreteSlab & Concat(ScannerButton1, ", " & ScannedBarcode))

It does work on my Android device. It was working on the iPads but now its not.

Can someone tell me why it has stopped working on the iPads?

Hi @LOGiT,

I have just made a test on my iPhone and the barcode is working fine.

As far as I know, iOS has lower success rates than Android devices due to memory limitations. Please check your device memory and try to clear caches to see if it will work.

About known limitations on bracode control, please check it at here:

Best regards,

Mabel

Hello @LOGiT ,

Someone else also reported a similar issue on the forum, I believe that it might be a regression in the ScanBarcode function. I would recommend that you use the new Barcode Scanner control in your app since we will be deprecating the ScanBarcode function very soon.

You can make the following changes to update your app:

BarcodeScanner.OnScan = Collect(ScannerButton1,{ScannedBarcode: BarcodeScanner1.Value})

Hope this helps 🙂
