Book a Room app stopped working when using filters in GetEventsCalendarViewV2

Our customer reported that the Book a Room app we created from the template doesn't work when trying to book for an existing meeting. I confirmed that there was a global issue with the Office 365 Outlook connector to GetEventsCalendarViewV2, specifically when using the filter:  {'$filter': "Organizer/EmailAddress/Name eq '" & MyName & "'"}. We were getting error:

Office365.GetEventsCalendarViewV2 failed: { "error": { "code": 502, "source": "asia-001.azure-apim.net", "clientRequestId": "7b423fd3-6191-432b-8001-1092d06a3109", "message": "BadGateway", "innerError": { "status": 502, "message": "Request failed. Try again later.\r\nclientRequestId: 7b423fd3-6191-432b-8001-1092d06a3109\r\nserviceRequestId: 2913af87-20ff-4cfa-8c2c-0211772edbc6", "source": "office365-sea.azconn-sea.p.azurewebsites.net" } } ...

Other filters that we tried worked.

 

Anybody else experiencing this and how can we fix it?

Could you please share more details about your Filter formula (the issue related to it)?

I have made a test, and the issue is confirmed on my side. I think there is something issue with the Office365.GetEventsCalendarViewV2() function within this template app.

The result the Office365.GetEventsCalendarViewV2() function returned does not contain the EmailAddress property and Name property, so there is something issue with the value provided for the '$filter' property within the Office365.GetEventsCalendarViewV2() function.

As an alternative solution, please take a try with the following workaround:4.JPG

Set the OnVisible property of the MeetingSelectScreen to following formula:

If(DateTimeRoomChange,
    UpdateContext({ShowLoading: true});
    Set(DateTimeRoomChange, false);
    ClearCollect(               /* <-- Modify here */
FutureCalendarEvents,
Filter( /* <-- Modify Start */
Office365.GetEventsCalendarViewV2(MyCalendar, Text(DateAdd(DateSelected, -1, Hours), UTC), Text(DateAdd(DateSelected, 1, Days), UTC)).value,
Organizer = MyName
) /* <-- Modify End */
); UpdateContext({ShowLoading: false})); Set(CalendarFromSelectMeeting, false)

then check if the issue is solved.

I would also post this issue to my product team, if the issue is solved, I would reply here.

Yes, I have the same issue in the meeting room booking PowerApp and I can reproduce this in Flow as well by using the "Get Calendar view of Events (V2)" action. Something wrong with the connector !!

 

Thanks for the workaround, however I had to compare the 'Organizer' value with the Email of the current user and not name. Organizer = User().Email
