Browse Gallery not visible for Shared users

App is using data from a sharepoint list

i have defined the browse gallery item with this filter:

Filter('Employee Performance Appraisal'; Name1.Email=User().Email Or Manager.Email=User().Email)

filtering items based on information in the Sharepoint list.

The filter seems to be fine however having an issue trying to view the app from all users. Unless i set their permission to be co-owner they cannot see the filtered gallery.

Permission on list are correct for users to see info

Re: Browse Gallery not visible for Shared users

Hello

Your filter formula will only show items in the gallery where the name person field is the user or the manager in the manager person field is the user. This means the user of the app must have records in which they are named in either of this fields. Is this what you are expecting? If so is the issue that this formula is not working?

Re: Browse Gallery not visible for Shared users

Hi, the formula works. The issue is trying when I try to get someone to use the app live. The gallery does not display for them. Even if the user is in either name1 or manager they are unable to view the gallery. BUT after testing if i change their app permission from USER to CO-OWNER then they can see the appropriate lines.

I dont want to give users that much access to the app. Just want them to user app and not change config.

Re: Browse Gallery not visible for Shared users

Have you checked that SharePoint list does not have the setting checked that allows users to only see items they have created?

I have checked that before and it's not selected.

Re: Browse Gallery not visible for Shared users

Hi @dominicnaidoo ,

Does the shared user have Office365 license or SharePoint license?

I have made a test according to your description, and don't have the issue you mentioned.

The user is the member of SP list, and I share the User permission to him, however, the user can see the galley item.

You can encode the User's email in the formula to check if the gallery item can be filtered, and ensure that user has sharepoint license and office365 license.

Best regards,

Sik
