Bug: Doing a Collect on Data from SQL datasource resulting in empty fields

Starting this morning (27 Nov) multiple users of our App have all started reporting this issue. I have investigated in both our Prod and UAT environments (neither of which have been changed recently and are independent of one another with their own SQL DB and their own PowerApp) and both behave with the same error.

Error:

When attempting to 'Collect' the result of a filtered datasource, some of the fields come in as null/empty.

See images below - when simply doing a Filter, all the data is returned. When Collecting the results of the filter, the Modifed and WeedPestDiseaseOther fields are coming through blank.

Hey Paul - make sure the Explicit Column Selection setting is set to off and you should be all good 🙂

Checking around seems it is not just SQL datasources impacted by this.

The solution is turn off Explicit Column Selection, save, close, re-open, publish and ask all your users to ensure they download the new version of the App.

Looks like the behaviour of the Explicit Column Selection feature has been modified resulting in breaking Apps that assign data filtered data to a collection.
