PowerApps 2.0.720
PowerApps isn't correctly showing the dimensions of images that calculate the original dimensions.
The image in question should be 38x52px. The dot you see on the canvas is the resulting image box when I set the CalculateOriginalDimensions property to true and the width and height accordingly.
Saving the app to the cloud and opening it also does not show the image correctly.
Hi @mr-dang,
Did you mean that when you change the Width and Height in PowerApps with Image1.OriginalWidth/Height, the dimensions of images doesn't match the actual dimensions? I just created a sample image in my Paint app, and added it to PowerApps. I looks like that it is working correctly.
My appology if I have misunderstood anything. Or did you mean that your image is mot a dot but a rectangle picture and now it is shown as a white dot in app? If this is the situation, what is the data source of this image? How did you added it in the app?
Regards,
Mona

Hi,
Thank you for responding.
My image is not a dot but a rectangular picture. It shows up with 0 width and 0 height. The dot that you see is just from the corners of the image box that are used for resizing it.
I added the picture, which is a .png file, in File > Media > Browse
Hi @mr-dang,
OK, I have reproduced your issue. But with different steps I got different result. So I will state both here.
The steps I took that reproduced your issue:
1. Click on File > Media > Browse, a "1.png" image is added unter Media.
2. Insert an image control, then immediately change under Advanced the CalculateOriginalDimensions property to true and the width and height accordingly.
3. Set the Image property to "1".
4. The dot shows.
The steps that will show the image correctly:
1. Click on File > Media > Browse, a "1.png" image is added unter Media.
2. Insert an image control, then immediately change the Image property to "1". And the image shows correctly.
3. Then under Advanced the CalculateOriginalDimensions property to true and the width and height accordingly. The image is still there.
Other steps that will show the image correctly:
1. Insert an Image control, then I click on the Image tab > Image dropdown > Add an image file.
2. Then in Advanced, changed the CalculateOriginalDimensions property to true and the width and height accordingly.
3. After this, my .png image shows correctly like this:
So would you please try with the 2nd and 3rd method to add your image and its dimensions?
Regards,
Mona
Hi @v-monli-msft,
I tried both methods 2 and 3. They were able to show the image and its original size correctly while editing in studio.
However, the images do not correctly show up when opening the app in cloud. This is true for both Chrome and Edge.
We are looking into this, please stay tuned.
@miglisic, any clues so far on why this is happening?
hi,
It does not work with pictures taking in the app. You know a way to display these?
Doesn't seem to be working for images from SharePoint library.
What was the idea behind the feature if not see the dimensions of all images?
Has there been any updates on this?
