Bulk uploading items into a list

Hello,

I made an app with Sharepoint as the backend. After three months of development, the app is now fully functional and ready according to me. The problem is that the app was built and tested on dummy data. Now that I have real data, which is a lot more than manually entered dummy data, I am trying to find ways to automate data entry into Sharepoint lists from my large excel files. Can somebody please point me in the right direction?

Thank you and have a great day!

within power apps your could load your excel sheet as a datasource, also load your sharepoint lists as a datasource.

Then have a button with the onselect parameter set to something like:

ForAll(EXCELTABLENAME,

Patch(SHAREPOINTLISTNAME, Defaults(SHAREPOINTLISTNAME), {SPCOL1:EXCELCOL1, SPCOL2:EXCELCOL2}))

There might be ways to do this natively from sharepoint I am unaware of.

Thanks,

Luke

That's probably as good a way to do it as any.  You could also use Flow or PowerShell.  Doing it natively in SharePoint is possible when creating a new list, but doesn't really work when trying to add data to an existing list.
