Business Central Connector

I have built several apps using basic BC connectors (list of customers and list of vendors). We are ready to deploy these apps, however there have been questions around whether all users can use the apps if they do not have access to business central proper. 

 

My question is: Are we able to authorize users to use a Power App that leverages a Business Central Connector even though they do not have access to Business Central Platform?

 

It may sound like a dumb question, but the use case is we want to have multiple users on this app populating forms that use the customer name/number and/or vendor name/number. These users otherwise have no reason to be in Business Central.

Like most connectors in Power Apps, the user will be prompted to authenticate to the back end data source, business central, the first time they run the app.  If they don't have access to business central that authorization will fail and they won't be able to run the app. I don't know of any way to let users access information in Business Central without giving them access to Business Central.

Like most connectors in Power Apps, the user will be prompted to authenticate to the back end data source, business central, the first time they run the app.  If they don't have access to business central that authorization will fail and they won't be able to run the app. I don't know of any way to let users access information in Business Central without giving them access to Business Central.

I figured as much. I was hoping there may be a work around, but I have multiple confirmations that in order to use the Business Central Connector you need to have a seat and login for each user.
