Button selected fill.colour remains active after release on Tablet and Mobile

Hi, I have problem with buttons in my app. PC works OK, this is only on Tablet or Mobile

When a button is pressed the button pressed fill color remains active. Shown yellow in the photo.

The problem is intermittent and if you press and and hold the button pressed for an extended period the problem doesn't occur.

The button should turn yellow briefly while actively pressing the button, then fill color dark green.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hi,

I seemed to have resolved the issue. It was due to performance, though there was no performance warnings active. I dropped some of the columns from my source data (SharePoint list) and this seems to have resolved the issue.

The problem remains 😞

Button functionality is not affected but visually appear to remain "pressed".

The problem seems to commence after using the app for a minute or two.

I have checked several older apps and they also have the same issue on tablet and mobile.

The apps that have the issue now have not been updated or worked on for quite some time and were working fine before, so i can only conclude there has been an Android or PowerApps update that has caused this.

I am assuming all 3 buttons have the same properties (the 3 yellow ones at the bottom)?

Can you share a screenshot showing all of its properties in the left hand properties navigation pane?

I have the exact same issue. Was there any info on what's causing this?

I've also noticed this issue and it seems to be in last week or so (?) and appears to be on Android in my case with app(s) that were working fine before but now (without rebuild) when I click on buttons they action but remain in highlighted (or selected) fill.

Two examples .. I have a button on main screen of app showing a list of items and Refresh button at top of page which refreshes the list from source but when clicked it does indeed action the refresh but remains with it's selected fill colour. If I click and hold the proper fill colour returns.

Another example, I select one of the items which takes me to a details screen that has a Back button on it .. if I press the Back button I go back to main screen but if I then select an item again to go to detail screen the Back button is still displayed with it's selected fill colour rather than normal. Again if I click and hold it returns to it's proper color.

In both cases (and others) this was not happening before and seems to be a problem on Android only (multiple devices) but is ok on iOS and browser.

Had something changed? Is there an issue recently perhaps?

Thanks Derek

More info on this issue .. @AlexElderton @Anonymous @PowerAddict

I investigated this on my device(s) and initially thought it was due to the version of PowerApps app on the device (Android - iOS seems ok) as previously working apps were not showing this issue and had an older device which was working ok but which had been turned off for ages so had older version of PowerApps app on it. So tried back loading previous versions of PowerApps onto device(s) with issues one by one to see which version had started the problem but .. surprise surprise, when I'd got back to the same version that was on the old phone the problem was still there! So same PowerApps version on two different (similar model) Android phone one working and one not (well showing the issue).

So checking the Android software on each they appeared the same version although slightly different build version(s) with issue one having a later Android security update so thought that might be issue so decided to try to revert the phone back to it's original firmware but was having a bit of an issue doing that and as part of doing that had to to a "hard reset"/wipe to factory settings which left the device with same build version as before (with the issue) but not it wasn't showing the issue!!!! So loaded the latest version of PowerApps app on it and it worked fine too!!!!

So whilst I don't have the answer (yet), it's not related to either the PowerApps version or the Android version/build but seems to be something that occurs either - after a period of time of the phone/Andoid running (don't think it's that .. or .. some other app/software initialled on the device that's affecting it it some way (???) .. or .. ???

Has any body else got any clues on this or experiencing the same symptoms? Any help much appreciated to hunt down the issue as whatever it is is likely to affect many users of Android devices so be good to find what exactly the situation is that causes the problem.

Thanks Derek

I'm also having the same issue on an Android phone.

This started less than a week ago.

Hi @Anonymous

So it's not just me still having the issue! 🙂

You mentioned it started about a week ago, think mine perhaps week or two .. have the app(s) you noticed the issue on been rebuilt or updated in that time? Or is it affecting the app(s) that were working fine with no change then suddenly showing the issue?

Hi @DerekPapworth,

I've been playing with my app for a month now, so I'm always making changes.

I only have the one app.

I'm running 8.0.0 on my Samsung phone.
