Button visible after a certain time

Hoping someone can help.

I am creating an application that requires a user to stay on a page for a certain amount of time , and not allowing to move on until that time has passed.

I can create a timer that countsdown and navigates the user to the next page, thats fine. However, I am wondering if there is a way I can make the 'Next' button only visible after the timer has counted down. Such as...

Screen > Countsdown > 'Next' button visible/appears >User can proceed

Something like: OnTimerEnd ....Button Visible

Hi @RKnighton88 ,

Do you want to display/visible a "Next" button after a certain time?

Based on the needs that you mentioned, I think a temporary variable could achieve your needs. I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:5.JPG

6.JPG

Set the OnStart property of the App control or the OnVisible property of the first screen of your app to following:

Set(IsShow, false)

Add a Timer control, set the Duration property to following:

10000

Set the AutoStart property to following:

true

Set the OnTimerEnd property to following:

Set(IsShow, true)

If you want to hide the Timer control, set the Visible property to false.

Add a Button called "NextButton", set the Visible property to following:

If(IsShow, true, false)

set the OnSelect property to following:

Navigate(Screen2,ScreenTransition.None);Set(IsShow, false)

Plese check the following GIF screenshot for more details:Test.gif

Hi there,

I advise you this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xe2NI2aTGvY

I wanted to do the same thing than you.

The video shows the general version, but you can easily transform it for your problem.

Hope it will help you!

Hi @RKnighton88

In addition to Shane's video, here's a summary of how to accomplish this.

In the OnVisible property of your screen, create a variable called ButtonVisible and set the value to false:

UpdateContext({ButtonVisible:false})

Set the DisplayMode property of your button to this:

If(ButtonVisible=false,
DisplayMode.Disabled,
DisplayMode.Edit
)

Set the OnTimerEnd property of your timer to this:

UpdateContext({ButtonVisible:true})

Hopefully, this will solve your problem.
