Button which fills several SharePoint fields

Hi everyone,

I have an App linked to a Share Point list. I would like to have a button in my app to fill several fields of a colum with one condition. The final target is to achieve this: If the value of the row in one colum is equal to "X" then fill in that row but in other colum with a message, and do this for several rows (with the same condition) simultaneously

I've tried this but it does not work:

If(Colum1=Gallery6.Selected.Result,Patch(SPList,{Colum2:'Message'},false)

Could someone help me please?

Regards,

Javier

Re: Button which fills several SharePoint fields

Hi @Masoud9 ,

Do you want to update the another column of several records whose specific column value = "X" in your app?

Based on the formula you provided, I think there is something wrong with it. Based on the needs that you mentioned, I think the UpdateIf function could achieve your needs.

Please consider take a try with the following formula within your app (Set the OnSelect property of a button to following😞

UpdateIf(
               SPList,
               Column1 = Gallery6.Selected.Result,
{
Column2: "Specific Message"
} )

In addition, if you want to achieve your needs using Patch function, please try the following formula:

ForAll(
           RenameColumns(Filter(SPList, Column1 = Gallery6.Selected.Result), "ID", "ID1"),
Patch(
SPList,
LookUp(SPList, ID = ID1),
{
Column2: "Message"
}
) )

Please take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

More details about the ForAll function, Patch function, please check the following article:
